On Sunday 13th October 2018, while on our way home, we stopped at Salt Creek to look at the birds and to activate the Coorong National Park, VKFF-0115. I have previously activated this park on five occasions, but never achieved 44 contacts for the WWFF program. Here is a link to my previous activation:

I made 17 contacts.

My wife, Jenny, was able to identify 55 species of birds on our trip. About half of them were in the Coorong National Park and other nearby parks and on water/ponds on private property. This photo, by Jenny, shows two species of ducks: Hard Head and Chesnut Teal and one, probably a juvenile Hard Head, (second duck in procession at the rear).

G’day John,
Sorry I missed you. Marija and I spent most of the weekend out in the garden. Hope you’ve qualified the park now.

Paul VK5PAS.
Hi Paul
Sorry I didn’t catch up with you on 80m. I called a few times for the VK5s! At long last 44. I could have achieved that score much more quickly if we were still camping. This time we stayed at Meningie at the motel. So I stayed until I got the right number although the going was slow. We also checked out a few other parks for activation in the future.

Great to see you hit the 44! I have a few I need to return to to click over the 44 as well.

Hi Chris
Thanks for the comment. I have a few more to go for 44 which are not too far away and lots below 44 in VK3 and VK7. I will probably never get to the VK7 parks again. I had a great day and survived the trip pretty well.
